My comment is realistic. Most people can't even get in the door without a degree of some sort. I say this as someone that just finished her degree last year at 36 and realizing the only way to grow in my field was to get that piece of paper.

All what I would consider self-made. This woman was appointed. Most executive jobs won't even interview you without a degree.
