I agree too. I've encountered the Ozzy/Dio debate in many forms (my friends and I being nerds) and while Dio certainly had better pipes I think Ozzy's voice suits the early material much better. The vocalist, the voice of the protagonist in the early Sabbath songs isn't supposed to sound strong, he is supposed to

Yep, exactly. Black Sabbath (at least mid-level and above Black Sabbath) had a genuine sense of doom and dread in their music.

How does water feel about being repurposed as pee? Does it feel grossed out? Is it… into that?

It's terrible but it does contain the great line, "You're looking for something, but it's not KISS." Surprisingly applicable to a number of situations.

I've just given up on shorts unless I'm not planning on leaving the house. My legs are relatively muscular, but in a slim, hairy way (not unlike a goat!) that is just not going to work with most fashion combos.

Ug, the Palatinate. People are always messing with me, more trouble than it's worth really.

Hmmm… maybe not for President, but if they ever resurrect that Holy Roman Empire thing you're getting my vote!

As far as I know (and I read Greenwald regularly but not religiously) the only movie he has commented on publicly and extensively is "Zero Dark Thirty", which he devoted several columns to slamming. That's the only movie I am aware of that he has any kind of public record on.

That's my take. This has nothing to do with promoting reading, and everything to do with putting some silly shit on a burrito wrapper and getting paid for it. And there's nothing wrong with that! But just say it! Don't be so Foer-y.

YES. There needs to be a line of burritos that comes wrapped in only the most brutal authors. I'll have a Hubert Selby Jr.

There's something about you boy
It's hard to explain.
It's like you're a creepy ghost
Or that guy from Samhain.

That's my feeling as well. I'm glad he's around in that he's one of the only well-known journalists (well-known by nerds anyway) who is genuinely willing to rock the boat, but he's got way too much of the self-justifying True Believer in him. The about-face on Sony here is small but telling.

Harrison Ford comes back for Ghostbusters 3, Bill Murray comes back for Blade Runner 2. Problem solved.

You know what? Let's just rip the guts out of every single movie that has had an even remotely memorable ending. Let's get it over with right now, it'll be less painful that way.

Rasputin I know, but was Dillinger really swinging a big pole? I'd never heard that before.

By 2) I mean bitter, bitter sarcasm.

It's not that he has any dirt. It's that 1) His Dad was Jack Buck and 2) We live in a meritocracy where each person's success or failure is due entirely to their abilities.

Sometimes I go for dragon types but I wouldn't really consider myself a dragon.

The person who finally stops the Blood Glacier needs to be named "Drumlin." NEEDS TO

I like its overall take on "The Self-Made Man", how a person can build himself up from basically nothing and yet still remain unhappy. Gatsby remains a mystery right up to the end, perhaps even to himself. Sort of like There Will Be Blood but with a more likable protagonist and (SPOILER ALERT) less bowling murder.
