An extra like for imagining the late Shelby Foote saying this in his melodious southern drawl.

It's the same for me. It's also been the most genuinely stress-relieving of all the games that I've played - easy to get totally immersed without getting twitchy. And when I'm feeling particularly poncy I like to combine it with classical music (Schubert ftw).

Considering how many reissues there are now, and considering people have been demanding this for a quarter-century, it's kind of unbelievable this hasn't happened already.

I've sort of made my peace with "Justice" because it really doesn't sound like anything else. The combination of the weird mixing plus the uber-precision of the riffs make it sound really disembodied and mechanical, almost like an electronic album, but not quite. Hard to describe.

So they are using a symbol from a story that centers around a giant loan/fraud scheme for the Olympics? That's… that's really something.

I don't know. Knoxville at least had wigs.

Whoa, whoa whoa, what's the deal with Fruity Pebbles?

Tom Cruise would have been a genuinely excellent choice for this. I'd never even thought of him for this role before but now I'm kind of bummed it won't be happening. An emotional rollercoaster!

To belatedly answer your question, it did contain a special "electrified coil" on the inside to fry the bug once it was sucked in. I'm not really sure if this was necessary.

I wonder what the Venn diagram overlap is between "subscribers to the Auteur theory" and "people who fuckin' love 'Thor.'"

This thread has single-handily changed my day from "shitty, at work" to "pretty funny, at work."

Very glad that you brought up Peter Boyle's performance, one of my all-time favorite supporting performances. Many of the "supporting" turns that get recognized by the Oscars strike me as more "Scene-stealing by some dude/lady who isn't the main character", but Boyle blends into the film somehow both memorably and

I don't think Tyler is a role model so much as he is fantasy - rock-hard abs, a leader of men, effortless succcess with women. He is the narrator's idealized version of himself, not all that dissimilar from the product-based fantasies that the narrator has earlier in the film. The narrator in "Fight Club" is a lonely,
