Exactly what you said. Column shifters are perfect for trucks. There is ZERO reason to try to force the faux-sporty pretense of a console mounted shifter into a truck—especially a full-sized pickup truck, which could really benefit from having another seat in the middle. And full-sized SUVs typically benefit more from

I’ve owned two vehicles with column shifters. A minivan that was used as a work vehicle and an older Cadillac DeVille. Column shifters are very nice on cars with no sporting pretensions. They free up plenty of room, are unobtrusive and just do their thing. I agree whole heartedly.

Y’all are crazy, this column shifter rules.

“...The chicken wing poking out from behind the steering wheel is easy to grab and never ends up in gear when you’re trying to put it in park. It’s out of the way when you’re driving and doesn’t mess with the interior aesthetic. Long live the damn thing.”

When I got to college, my dad kicked me off of everything. He stopped filing taxes with me as a dependent, he put the car in my name and had me buy the insurance, etc etc. He realized that regardless of what happened, he'd much rather me (without any assets to speak of) be held responsible than him, 700 miles away

Which corporation’s cars are you going to buy that weren’t sullied by the US or other government funds?

When you walk on water, let me know... mechanical shit breaks, often. What’s rare is when a company actually pays the victims for their losses. Unlimited liability won’t bring these people back, but it will put a whole lot of other people out of work.

The law isn’t based on a judge’s personal experiences...

So then you’re going to buy a new vehicle from a company that hasn’t had liability issues...

Show me on the doll where GM touched you.

That’s how bankruptcy laws work. There would be no purpose in filing for bankruptcy if preexisting liabilities weren’t erased.

Please tell me this is sarcasm.

And John Davis hasn’t even punched anyone!

Weird... I’m 24, graduated college with an engineering degree, lives nowhere near a car plant, and would love to own a Cadillac. Would the ELR be my first choice at ~$59,000? Nope. But I would certainly love to have one or nearly any other Cadillac on the market (some more than others).

That first point is no longer true, not universally anyway. I’m a “young professional” and I prefer Cadillac because it doesn’t carry the air of auto-douche that a German brand does. I have no interest in Audis or BMWs but I’d take an ATS-V (fingers crossed for a wagon) any day of the week.

Do we have to talk about Oldsmobile? It always makes me sad.

Prius FR-S?

Neutral: Make it fun to drive... I know, cliche for us here, but hear me out. They have many variants, but a sport version is not one of them. If they could make it more aligned with the VW GTD (High efficiency but fun) they might have a good way to get a foot in the door with the next generation of nerds who cannot

Don't built a truck but do built a 3camino.
