There’s no doubt the US subsidizes the defense of Europe to a very great extent

one more point to add to that. Hospitals in the US charge any amount they want, which makes the bills extraordinarily high, compared to countries with Public healthcare. Unless this changes, there’s no way this can work in the US.

That’s the difference between opportunity equality and outcome equality. Providing equal opportunity is a good thing. Expecting (demanding) equal outcome, gets Trump elected president, because people are sick and tired of this stupid rhetoric which is part of 3rd wave Feminism and Social Justice Crap.
