Was Last Samurai trying to be historically accurate? Is it supposed to be based on a true story/person? I just assumed it was all fiction.

I was making a joke because I didn’t think the reply made a great point. My original point was about how Awkwafina seems to be transitioning to acting full time (like Ludacris and The Rock have, in my example). Madonna and Gaga are still primarily focused on music as their main career and while both have appeared in

Yes, those are singers i am familiar with.

Just like The Rock and Ludacris and other entertainers who transitioned from another part of the industry to become an actor it’s likely that she’ll eventually transition to using her own name but they kept the rap name because it’s part of her brand and has more name recognition. It’s really not that big of a deal

One thing:  Some people dislike NFL now because of people kneeling. Vince McMahon is a right wing Trump supporter so they may draw in more people who are “sick of” the regular league.

Do you still say “rewind”?

Typo in the article.  Says 2011

Yeah, but presumably Strange’s 1-14million vision always ends with Stark snapping Thanos and his army out of existence. So, why would said future not come to pass if Carol Danvers did it instead?

He’s been all over the place, sure, but I still love me some Workaholics. I’m okay with this.

At that point the plan wasn’t to use the gauntlet to snap again. It was to get it away from Thanos and return the infinity stones or whatever. That was a last minute audible for someone to use it that way.

I believe there was some kind of magnetic/technological explanation for it. This isn’t a 100% official canon answer but is from the Reddit FAQ:

Not Diego Luna. You got your Luna’s mixed up.

Yeah, we can snark or complain all we want. I had two different groups of young girls on either side of me and they fucking loved it. Like, exclaiming “Yeah!” when that and some other moments happened. It reminded me to not take some of this shit so seriously. It makes people happy.

I think the way they’ve handled it on the show has been clever. It’s almost always tied to Captain Mercer who has made it clear he has a thing for that era of Earth. In this case, the woman poet was granted the chance to search through woman artists of Earth and happened to stumble on this one. I like it more when

People need to remember all the shit she has pulled. If it was just what she did to Method Man and his wife that’d be one thing but she’s got a history of being pretty shitty as a person.

That seems a bit odd.  “We like this guy so much we can’t make him the big bad.....so let’s kill his character off now”.   Still, glad they switched it up. I don’t want Nate going bad.

I signed up just to binge Titans and ended up sticking around a bit cuz I liked it, got into Doom Patrol, started a re-watch of Human Target (highly recommended) and Young Justice, and also checked out a few other things here and there. I still planned on canceling at some point but they probably were going to keep me

Disney + is likely to put some good money behind all the Marvel shows they are producing. I bet they look much better than what we’re used to on CW and Fox.

I just started catching up and was expecting a reveal to be that she was brainwashed or manipulated in some way. I’m sure there could still be that but I agree it felt a bit out of character. The whole “I asked for one thing and you couldn’t give it to me” felt like a cop-out considering that the men in black DID
