Honestly not sure about iMovie for GIFs. You would have to look into it since I don’t know much about macs.

I believe the really talented folks include Adobe Premiere/After Effects for specific editing tricks and then make GIFs from that. I’ve used Photoshop before and there are also some free software that will generate them from videos (though usually not as good quality or control in those ones).

Nah, not as good as the people on there. I mean to get back into it but haven’t done much in a while. Some of the people on that subreddit are insanely talented. I suggest checking out their “music videos” and other tournaments and things. It’s impressive.
