Is the commenting history thing going to happen later? I did the “claim my account” and went through disqus but don’t see my old comments from the Disqus account. Hoping that just comes later and not that something screwed up for my account.

I miss those and I want the ability to collapse/minimize a chain of comments. Gotta try the chrome plugin. Glad that exists.

Very excited for this. Anything with Adam Scott gets a watch for me. Loved Tucker & Dale .vs. Evil so think I’ll enjoy this. Solid cast, too.

Well it’s finally here. Claiming the kinja account wasn’t terrible and I am happy about the extension that a commenter made. Not a big fan of the new design and hope to see changes made to navigate through TV club/reviews more easily but I’ll give it a shot.

I absolutely loved all the use of new slang/lingo in that scene. Getaway donkeys was perfect.

I think it's still possible. But on a more individual level. When there are groups of people on your "side" supporting you and getting you riled up then you get into mob mentality stuff and I don't think any of the folks angrily chanting slurs could be calmly and quietly reasoned with. But get them alone in a setting…

I think what they want is ethnic cleansing (whether through violent means or just kicking "inferior" people out and back to their own country) and are using protesting/freedom of speech as an excuse to go out and incite violence and antagonize others into fighting them. Then they can play the victim and feel justified…

Isn't that just like old school local news stuff? Talk about a story and then interview some random street-walkers or locals you've never heard of and get a few random opinions at the end of it. This is just the 2017 version and it's much easier to find the type of response you want on twitter

I'll believe it when I see it. Simply asking for nested/threaded comments is SO BASIC and implementing that (even if not at launch but a clear confirmation that it would be implemented in the future would help) would silence a TON of the negative posts/complaints. It's so simple.

He's basically telling everyone "This is how it is….so you have to adjust" and not answering the basic question of "Why is there no nesting/threaded comments when people have been asking for it for years". I'm very disappointed and will try the new commenting system but anticipate just leaving the community…
