yeah these stories in star wars and star trek were allegories for climate change before they were allegories for covid.

I have to assume he was already working on The Bad Batch when he directed that first ep with her in Mandalorian. Dave really knows how to plant seeds that bear some seriously cool fruit.

I can confirm that.  I was at a smaller convention where he had a booth.  He was there all alone and I got to talk with him for a good bit, he was extremely nice and had some good stories about Star Wars.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch

Why do I love Ming Na Wen so much? I just love everything she does. Also... she is still unbelievably beautiful... completely ageless.

I met him once at a convention and he signed an art print of my drawing of Boba Fett in a suit, making a joke about it being “proof he does get to the office from time to time”. He was there with his wife, and they were both very kind. He seemed to enjoy seeing all the fan art of his character and graciously accepted

Met him and Prowse at a smaller con (and that is why it was relaxed and fun) years ago.

I can only hope that these will be clips from the movies with narration by Michael Peña as Luis.

If the script is good and they throw enough money at them, Boyega and Ridley could absolutely return. It worked on Harrison Ford.

You’re right that just scanning a face without checking it against a list of authorized users is pretty mind-bogglingly stupid as far as security measures go, but whatever. It’s not like many of the Empire’s other design decisions make a lot of sense.

I loved the line from Fett that they “might recognize his face.”

I had a funny thought that the hand was like a trophy on some Cloud City Ugnaught’s mantle and decades after finding it, it just goes poof

Who’s playing Colonel Deering?

Stackpole approves!

The roller blades and slow reveal. All hail the queen.

The thing is, Nolan is being an ass here but I don’t think we can blame him for Warner deciding to nuke theatrical releases from orbit. Sooner or later, Warner would have probably come to this same decision, whether Tenet was released in theaters or not.

Per Maul, I’m pretty sure that all of that was out there in some fashion in now, non-canon EU material. The most visible parts, and only stuff that counts, is the material from the cartoons. And however much Filoni might be an old EU guy with a “hey remember this” habit. He’s never had that uniquely Star Wars tick

The show seems to be making a point to humanize the Tuscans. So I would guess it was the Tuscans who saved him.

JMS had some words to say about Warner’s decision to put so many movies out on HBO Max.
