Bob Chapek needs to be the shortest-serving CEO in Disney history. I hope he one day has to face, in court, those very Disney lawyers he now hides behind.

That’s it exactly! Why isn’t he a Polar Bear? Or a Reindeer (driving a sleigh pulled by reindeer)? Or even just Mickey Mouse in the Santa costume? The answers, I fear, may lead to madness...

Torch has you covered:

What’s REALLY jarring is to see the anthropomorphic animals interacting with a human. I recently watched ‘Legends of the Three Caballeros’ on D+ - recommended BTW - and it’s just odd to see Donald, Jose, Panchito and the other mostly-avian-descended cast interacting with Xandra, the human-shaped goddess of adventure.

A couple years ago, Mrs. Copperpot got me the complete Ralph McQuarrie Art of Star Wars set, and they are a constant source of information and joy to me. In it, he states that those Kashyyk designs were some of his favorite work - he was just really proud of the aesthetic of the Wookie homes, and wished it could have

Maybe it’s wet AND cold on Trask? Hell, it’s Star Wars, the sweater could actually be woven from moisture-retaining sea-sponge fibers or some such BS :)

I liked it fine actually, but it did feel a bit hesitant when things weren’t focused on Mando and Baby Yoda. I also think one fake-out step before the AT-ST plunges into the trap would have sufficed, but that’s more of a script/story-breaking issue. I just found The Heiress to be a much stronger episode overall. I

I didn’t think I wanted a CGI Elliot either until Pete’s Dragon came out. I was pleasantly surprised by that whole movie, and I’m still able to enjoy the original. Likewise, Lady and The Tramp was so much better than I’d expected (there’s a whole tangent I could go on about seeing so many faces of color in their versio

The closest thing to reality any of them got was probably the NXIVM cult. It didn’t seem like the larger Q-sphere pointed to it as much as you might think though, which leads me to conclude they never were looking for real-world examples of the conspiracy, as too many elements simply don’t conform to the overarching

I’ve never watched The Outpost, and so I have no idea the overall quality of the show. That said, can we stop naming fantasy/sci-fi characters ‘Talon’? Please? I feel like half of all new properties in the past 25 years has had one. It’s like someone decided Talon was shorthand for “badass”, and it just feels lazy at

I really want to reserve judgement on this one. On the one hand, more Darkwing (and cartoon ducks, in general) in my life should be greeted as happy news. On the other, very little of what Rogen does is my particular cup of tea. I’m disappointed to see no mention of the current Ducktales creators in the announcement.

Agreed on the Bryce Dallas Howard point. This ep felt much stronger than her first. It’s like she felt more comfortable with both the actors and the material.

I hate Punisher as a character, but Bernthal’s performance actually made me care about Frank Castle. He was a pretty good Lee Iacoca in Ford V Ferari too.

AFAIK, the Victory-class is still a thing, but we’ve never seen them rendered in any show or movie. They ARE in the Armada miniatures game from Fantasy Flight Games. They are about twice the size of Arquitens, but still only about half as large as Imperial-class. It’s a fun game, but I mostly stick to X-Wing; my bank

It also makes great sense on the behind-the-scenes level. The “Argh! Kittens!” class ships were seen in both Clone Wars and Rebels - it wouldn’t take much to make that asset compatible for live action. I’m taking relatively, of course - not trying to diminish what those artists/designers do.

Ha! Yes. THAT Renfield :)

Yes, this drove Mrs. Copperpot and I NUTS. Like, literally shouting at the TV, “Keep the eggs away from him, you moron!”

I too thought the ep might end with him blarfing all the eggs back up. However, after mulling it over, I am thinking that this isn’t just a running gag, but an essential part of his physical and metaphysical growth cycle. He HAS to consume living creatures in order to properly grow. I’ve been mentally comparing the

I could (and have) watch Dave Filoni talk about Star Wars for hours. He approaches these stories from such an internal, sub-textual level, every time he talks about his experiences, from working with George on CW and up to now, I learn new things about both Star Wars and storytelling in general.
