It was Universal, so maybe it’ll end up on Peacock?
Ha! Yeah, that isn’t my draw, but I’m sure Mrs. Copperpot will share your sentiment :)
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but my personal head-canon is that Cody just made it look good - they didn’t actually hit Kenobi, just knocked him off a sheer wall. Cody had seen other Jedi survive much worse, and so the last remnant of his free-will was directed toward trying to only almost kill Obi-Wan.
That could be an interesting take, as only Bail Organa is supposed to know about Obi-Wan’s survival until just before Rogue One. If there is any truth at all, then this is really going to be a balancing act in terms missed connections (similar to how Anakin and Greivous could never meet during the Clone Wars series).
Where’s that damn ‘Seconded’ gif when you need one?
That looks like 2 hours of pure kid-detective fun, and the exact sort of fantasy I need in my life right now.
Huh, I think I replied to the wrong post (or replied to two posts). I’d blame Kinja, but honestly, I’m almost certainly the problem here.
Anyway, the whole series is on Hulu now, so getting baked and watching them is really easy :)
Yeah, on any given day, I never know which of those two has my favorite intro. Thundercats was the template, but Silverhawks takes that style and ratchets up some undercurrent that really pops. It’s like you hear these in your nerves - certain notes and motifs literally give me goosebumps, and I assume that’s by…
What, no Ford Fairlane?
Oddly, the Yeager scenes in the original movie (I will confess to not having read the book), were among the least compelling for me as a viewer. If I have a complaint it’s that the trailer focuses very heavily on Glenn and Shepard, with the other five originals being very underrepresented. Given my general interest in…
I had no idea Disney+ was doing a Right Stuff show. Here’s hoping Gus Grissom gets more appropriate treatment in this version. I know it was due more to his depiction in the book rather than Fred Ward’s performance, but that still sticks in my craw.
Ok, now I can’t unhear it that way. And I’m strangely okay with that...
Purely personal story, take from this what you will.
Fantasy Flight Games has the IP for Arkham Horror and other Lovecraft-mythos-related games, and they are surprisingly good at giving you diverse characters to play. Whether it’s one of your Investigators, or some of the human menaces they have to face, there are a lot of faces of color. I think there are also at least…
Pretty sure Kelly Hu has voiced Lady Shiva in another Batman project too - that weird CGI animated one with Katana as the sidekick, I think?
Can the eventual Blu-Ray release have an exclusive Akmeena mini-fig? Please?
That Batman animated sounds like a love letter to Denny O’Neil. I’m in.
Palob Godalhi is also in the X-Wing minis game. He’s one of the more fun Scum pilots to fly in a squad. I’ve been on the fence about this book, but may need to go ahead and pick up a copy.
I was lucky enough to see Dead Again in a nearly empty theatre when it was released, and it was just enthralling. Every part of that movie felt so fresh and original to younger me. I wonder if the twists and reveals in that inspired Shyamalan in his films?
