Y’know, I really have no room to image shame anyone, but wow. Dude looks like Central Casting’s idea of what a cult leader is supposed to look like...

Ditto. I love that it looks like a muscle car, and would absolutely grab it at a lower price. I do hope the Rise of the Resistance set does well. I’d love to get a set of that ship on top of Docking Bay 7 restaurant:
I’m looking at the site, and it doesn’t make any sense - The Night Buzzard has 100 more pieces $10 bucks less. The Resistance I-TS is almost twice as many pieces, but the price point is only $20 dollars more. Piece count has never been a 1-to-1 indicator, but it’s generally pretty reliable when they set their prices.…
I really does. I’ll shell out the $40 bucks for the Ahsoka set, and that I-TS transport is probably going on the Christmas list, but the Grievus fighter should be the same or just-slightly-higher price point as the ETA-2 Jedi fighter.
Goddess, I made the mistake of clicking the link to the archive site. Wow. That is so, so cool, and will be a serious time-sink in the weeks to come. I wonder if the IA has special equipment for converting the Betamax tapes, or if they had to hunt down an old player on eBay or a Goodwill store somewhere.
I know we aren’t supposed to judge a book by its cover but good lord those mugshots are some pretty Klanny covers...
Ah, dammit! The shadow of the British East India Company remains long and awful. Next thing you know, I’ll have to give up opium too...
Spam was a staple protein after my parents’ divorce. Grilled spam and cheese was lunch at least once a week before Dad met my wonderful step-mom. I reintroduced myself to the product recently, and was pleasantly surprised. Chopped and fried with egg and cheese makes a really wonderful breakfast burrito. I also fried…
Mrs. Copperpot drinks Stash’s DOUBLE Bergamot blend, which I can only imagine would make James break out into hives and projectile vomiting. I admit it’s too strong for me, so I stick to the regular Twinings EG now that I’m down to one can of Coke per day. I also admit that I probably wouldn’t have tried Earl Grey in…
Dark World is definitely one of the weakest entries, but for my money Thor 2 still holds up better than Guardians Volume 2. That might be my hatred of the Peter Quill character talking though...
That first Thor movie holds up really well on the re-watch front. It’s far from perfect, but Hemsworth and Hiddleston are so great in their roles - Thor’s tortured “Can I come home?” when Loki tells him Odin has died (a lie at the time) still breaks my heart. Also, I just can’t bring myself to bash any part of the…
2022 is probably a good bet for them. I still probably can’t go, but mostly because I want to make sure I get in on the DisneyWorld 50th stuff (assuming those can actually take place in 2021/2022). So glad I was able to get to last year’s show in Chicago...
I really look forward to massively sucking at this game and still loving every astromech- and s-foil-laden minute of it. In the list of random things I hope for, I hope there are music stations you can listen to while flying. It’d be like Grand Theft X-Wing :)
And a Trandoshan rebel pilot-who-hoo! I hope they are a playable character.
Man, I’d forgotten that! I’m really going to miss Denny. We are so very fortunate that he left so many stories for us to enjoy.
That may be my favorite single issue of any comic. It has a great setup, fast plot, Denys Cowan-drawn action scenes, and a thought-provoking philosophical debate, all while the main protagonist is in hand-cuffs. Did I mention Denys Cowan’s art? Yes? Good.
Bingo. He is very good at getting meaningful performances from his actors, but I no longer trust him as a storyteller. Sadly, the exact opposite is the case with George Lucas. Filoni and Favreau both seem to possess the best of both talents, which is why we laud them so vocally.
Don’t forget colonialism. Sooooo much colonialism...
“Rage Against The Machine” - does exactly what it says on the tin, broheim...
I’ve never seen Meet Joe Black, but thank you for linking to Roger Ebert’s review of it. His writing always showed not only a rare wit, but a genuine love of movies. I fall down a rabbit hole of his old reviews about once a year so, congratulations, Ms. Fye, on kick-starting this year’s tumble...
