Yeah, I swear I remember her being booted like four (?) years ago for exactly this kind of crap.

I have to confess that fake-cherry is one of my favorite flavors. I love real cherries too, but cherry Kool-Aid or an Icee just takes me back to a more child-like world view. Something that is very important to my sanity lately...

I hope there are people right now filing FOIA requests for every document, spreadsheet, email, memo, visual aid and Sharpied-up-scratch-paper that even tangentially relates to to COVID-19. The complete timeline, from multiple decreases in funds for the CDC, to eliminating the exact position there that could have

Add a bunch of sour cream after that ground beef and cream of whatever simmers, and you’ve got “college stroganoff”. We serve it over egg noodles, but the rice would probably also be great.

I worry that this is how he will go full Palpatine. Weakened and deformed, Trump announces he has defeated the Dem/Jedi/Coronoavirus plot and is implementing Order 66 on all of them...

I didn’t either, and now I can’t unsee them. They’ll always be there...waiting.

Ah, another opportunity to link back to Wonkette’s very comprehensive coverage of all things Larry Klayman:

I tried to watch Return of Jafar way back when it came out (yes - I rented a VHS cassette from a brick-and-mortar video store). I think I got ten minutes in before I literally could not watch any more of it. Not because of the plot, but because the animation was just wrong. I couldn’t put my finger what was bothering

You forgot to include Sorority Girls at the Slimeball Bowl-A-Rama, but I’ll let it slide for that sublime description of Showgirls.

Laphraoig is too smoky for my tastes, but I like the way you think, nonetheless.

Ok, I just googled the gheymeh, and now I have to try it. Thanks!

When I moved in with my wife *cough*cough* years ago, there must have been 20 cans of WD-40 all over the house. It had belonged to her grandparents, and her Dad was letting us buy it. Her grandfather had some odd shopping habits, and stockpiled specific things, among them the WD-40 - there were cans of it on shelves

One of my cooking goals this year is losing my fear of dried beans. And to use more varieties than the standard great northern or pintos. I have made them before, twice in a Dutch oven, and once in the slow cooker. The slow cooker ones tuned out much better, so I wonder if I should start looking at Instant Pots now.

Is that only for brandy/cognac, or does any hard liquor make it that? Because I’ve got some bourbon and an urge to tell people “I’m drinkin’ Dirty Shirleys!” :)

It does look kind of weird - hyphenated maybe? Bacon-egg-and-cheese? Also, how do you make a Hennesey Shirley Temple? Doesn’t adding the Hennesey make it no longer a Shirley Temple?

The lemon cake. Oh, the lemon cake is NOT a lie :)

I’m lucky enough to have a Portillo’s in my town, and it’s a toss-up whether that or a local shawarma place is eaten more in our house in a given month. I’m weird and don’t like either pickles or mustard, and so I usually go with the chili-cheese dog (don’t forget the onions!).

Trader Joe’s, maybe? I think Amy’s has broth in the “nutritional”/organic aisle at most supermarkets too. Finally, we use the “Better Than Bouillon” brand for chicken and beef broths, and it looks like they do have a vegetable stock version as well.

There’s an “IlLouMalnati’s Conspiracy Theory” pun in here somewhere, but all I can think is that I want that hat...

Yup, the Chicago teams should have gone with the hot dog. That pizza graphic just looks bad. The dog with the multi-colored toppings would have been so much more visually interesting.
