My kids should be good. I didn’t start binge-drinking until AFTER they were born...

Go watch Rebels. I will always shill for that show. There are episodes I’ve watched 10-12 times, and they make me grin every time. More than any other TV effort from Star Wars, that show “feels” like Star Wars.

I am HERE for this. I love tiny, hyper-intelligent aliens. From Small Soldiers to the Galvans from Ben 10. Yes, they can create a murderbot from just about anything to hand, but they’re so cute!

This is the most likely outcome...

I don’t know, some of my favorite eps are from the first half of that first season. I’d actually argue that the show got GOOD once Ezra finally ditched the “energy slingshot”. That was dumber even than the helicopter lightsabers...

Huh, I don’t see any comments about snuff. People snorted crap to dull their sense of smell. That’s why you only see ‘antique’ snuff-boxes any more. I suspect they pretty much stopped making them after the TV started reminding everyone that they smelled.

This show turned the corner for me when Kaz watched Hux’s speech from Starkiller Base. It not only upped the stakes for our primary protagonists, but it actually redeemed what I’ve always been viewing as the weakest scene in Force Awakens (the idea that Hux was broadcasting that speech out to the whole galaxy gives it

I had it for the first time a couple months ago while visiting some in-laws near Grand Rapids (Founders’ home town). I about sqeee’d when I then saw a 4-pack of it at my local Binny’s a couple weeks later. A bit more on-topic, I also discovered a truly amazing lambic - Kriek Boon (I THINK that’s the brand)

Holy cow, is that forced perspective on Tulloch’s pic, or is Tom Welling really that huge? He looks like Paul Bunyan!

I discovered that this summer - it’s stunningly good.

I love that moment. It really brings home the fact that Owen loves his nephew, and wants to give Luke a chance at a “normal” life (even if that isn’t necessarily what Luke himself thinks he wants).

The point about Manifest Destiny is rather chilling (as I think Prof. Weintraub intends). While it isn’t a one-to-one analogy, this is absolutely part of the debate we should be having regarding colonizing our solar system.

I genuinely miss that sandwich. The Quarter-Pounder deluxe just isn’t quite the same for some reason.

I have it on good authority that no one made a deal with Kanjiklub

Almost Human should have been a half-hour sitcom consisting entirely of Michael Ealy and Karl Urban driving to the various crime scenes. Every line of dialogue in that squad car was just delightful.

That sounds like a good lecture on several levels.

I expect I’ll be looking away for most of that scene, cringing at what is sure to be some amazing Foley work...

“Will you follow me into fire? WILL you?”

Thanks for pointing to that Moonrise podcast. It’s super interesting, and seems all of the eps are less than an hour. Perfect for lunch or a commute. I’m really enjoying it.

I really hope no one is actually shot or harmed this weekend. The entire notion that “They can’t stop us all” is complete fallacy. Yes, they can, and yes they WILL.
