@jdale: You said it brother.

@RaindropBebop: That machine was pretty much the ONLY thing that was even close to the original show. Artemis would have loved to see how it worked, and Jim would have blown it the hell up.

@Chernobyl: Haha loser! My cubicle is 10% larger than that! Plus I have a flat screen, and there's a window not more than 50 feet away. AND ... AND ... I have the other half of the cube wall so I can sometimes browse the Internet at work without some manager busting my chops.

@Lagi: Most of Europe uses GSM, as does AT&T, ever since they bought Cingular. Verizon uses CDMA, which is what AT&T moved away from. Only a few counties have mostly CDMA, such as Isreal, Russia, Canada, and the US. You can find it a lot more places, but those are higher density.

@aec007: Really appreciate the reply.

@aec007: That's on my shopping list. Please tell me, what is the power utilization of that bad boy? I've heard that modern plasmas don't pull as much juice as the old ones, and that they last a lot longer, too. Compared with LCD, they are now said to be no more than twice the power draw (which is still pretty low) and

@jdale: Agreed. My electric usage goes up every year as I add smart TVs, more speakers, more PCs, more laptops, and chargers for a host of mobile devices. No change in the appliances or A/C unit other than general entropy.

@mat: My "favorite" line was "make and lose fortunes in a night for a week each January".

@dgkz0idberg: Not spoken like a Xtian. More like an Xtion. Maybe, given your awesome handle, Xtacean?

@Mr Quacker: And yet a corporation, which is a legal entity designed to protect individuals from financial consequences such as personal liability, is somehow allowed to have rights as if it were a person.
