Fair enough. If you are a blog, you are a blog. And yet, "Gawker is a blog founded by Nick Denton and Elizabeth Spiers and based in New York City that bills itself as "the source for daily Manhattan media news and gossip". It focuses on celebrities and the media industry." (Source: Wikipedia)

Except that you've made a stupid argument and have been shown up completely.

I have to say that slipping bra straps is a really dumb rule because you can't totally control it. Sometimes they slip and you are totally unaware of it.

"But it seems pretty clear that generally, dress-code rules for boys are generally about appearing "neat," while rules for girls are about "not creating a distraction.""

This is much ado about nothing. Different places have different dress codes. Boys at my school were "called out" for dress code violations just as much as the girls (for not wearing belts/sagging pants, primarily). Teaching young people that not everything in life is "come as you are" is helpful. I work in a law

Dumb kids will protest about the smallest thing like clothes, but won't protest about getting a better education in America.

I once got busted when my bra strap slipped out and became visible. Instead of putting on a sweatshirt like I was told to, I just took the bra off from underneath my shirt right there in the middle of the commons and stuffed it into my backpack. After all, there was no rule saying I had to wear the damn thing. The

Her Sex book has a lot of pretty imagery. The 90's were a great time generally for beautiful photographs, I feel. We were coming off the over the top obnoxious aesthetics of the 80s and segued into this period of shots that were airbrushed and pretty but not photoshopped into insanity like some shots today.

Gawker can be bad, but it seems to have been worse the last week or so. Hard to tell if it's #yesallwomen bringing them out of woodwork or the regulars don't like having to acknowledge women have it tougher.

Perhaps if we were all naked more of the time it would open our eyes to what people actually look like as opposed to what the media portrays.

I can't wait for the comments that make gawker seem like 4chan.

I'm kind of like this too. I live in California and if I see ANY car pulled to the side of the freeway with someone either in the car or outside of it, I call 911 to alert highway patrol. In all likelihood those individuals (a) have their own cell phones and can contact the authorities if they need help, or (b) have

You did the right thing there, as long as you reported seeing 'a red light go up' rather than calling it a distress flare. It's up to the coastguard to decide what, if any, investigation is needed.

Definitely. I'm happy to be part of that fight! Go us!!!

I had some friends call in a forest fire in the distance once and it turned out it was just the sunset.

I think you did the right thing.

All the "oh snap" gifs to you...

Jesus fuck, but that is a useful .GIF. It has been saved for future use. Thank you.

My DAD actually commented on me wearing shorts recently. He looked at me, and he looked at my shorts, and he said, "Dforce, when did you start wearing shorts? I can't remember the last time I saw you wear shorts that were pjs." When I stopped giving a shit what people thought, Dad, that's when.

Christianity is a death cult. And if not kept in check it can become a violent death cult.
