And suddenly the text my ex-fiancée sent me saying he no longer feels "warmth, compassion, or love" for me seems downright kind. Fuckin' ay.
I'm sorry, a TEXT MESSAGE? The break up text has reached new lows.
Those shoes make me wince in sympathetic pain.
Because otherwise Jezebel would have about a gazillion less articles to write?
That's how I read it too. Not that he'd be gong as Rayon in drag, but going in drag as Rayon.
Also, I assumed his comment meant that, in real life, he would be going in drag since he is not, himself, trans.
Normally I'm against celebrity couple portmanteau names, but why aren't we calling Mila and Ashton KuKu?
Harder to be offended otherwise.
More to the point, he isn't saying that Rayon would be "in drag" if she went to the Oscars. Leto is not actually Rayon, and Leto isn't a woman, so if Leto went to the Oscars as Rayon, he'd be in drag.
it would be drag for leto though, right? since he is a man dressing as a woman? or am I wrong? (fully prepared to be wrong, question is honest and not meant to be snarky or ignorant).
I don't say this to defend Leto's comments, but I don't recall anything in Dallas Buyer's Club that specifies Rayon to be trans. So why has the character been identified as such in all ensuing discussion about the film and the role?
On the one hand, this child will have Ashton Kutcher as a father.
Leto didn't say she would be "dragged up." He said he would be if he dressed as her, which is true.
The bangs are awful. Just shockingly bad. SHOCKING.
I have a question. (Stay with me on this.) I'm Australian with about 22 or so great, intelligent American friends I regularly keep in touch with. I read as much of their media and articles as I do Australian, UK and European media.
I have never seen anywhere near the level of paranoia and suspicion of 'The Government'…
As someone in cancer research that second question is one of the few things you can get me passionate about. I'm a pretty mellow guy but try to tell me that we're covering up the cure for "cancer" and I'll go off on you.
