Why Level 5 would ever want to sully its rep with Comcept, I have no clue. But hey, maybe with more oversight, Inafune can make something decent?

You know what I just realized? Kratos is the analog to game devs’ desires, if in nothing else, in appearance.
Same - I don’t remember even being able to do it, let alone encouraged. But if you could, that’s kinda creepier than the already-creepiness of being a creepy-looking assassin lurking around, wasting guards...
The fun part here is how much short-term memory Gamers have.
more than likely a better roster.
I wish your average gamer would consider how much work and time goes into some of these and how a monetized platform could actually benefit the overall quality of said mods
then you aren’t buying either?
That’s cool - I’d totally buy a digital shirt if my avatar looked cute like this!
You’re the hero Kotaku needs, but not the one it deserves.
I spit out my drink laughing, so here’s a star.
In a vid I saw, Mario does get to use hammers too. Dunno when/how though.
I agree that game dev is hard, and absolutely see the pragmatic decision to invest in visuals...but that just goes back to my point that innovative design has nothing to do with hardware.
“If your system can’t run games that push the graphical envelope, then it doesn’t matter how innovative or fun your package is.”
Well, my solution would be ‘make a game that’s fun to play and gives the player the most freedom of movement.’ If that means it doesn’t look as cinematic as these videos, fine. I’ll take it.
I loved Beyond Good & Evil, and would love to play another one.
Do you need PSVR to play it?
I don’t doubt that part, I worry about the ‘how do I get to run out of the building to chase the helicopter? Is it up to me to hit jump to hurdle over tables? Could I toss out a web line and zip out? Or do I just hold up and watch Spidey auto-everything until I’m in the preordained ‘free form swing mode’
Now that would be...very, very rad.
oh no - looks like no one other than pre-approved demoers will know what it’s like to play it:
That’s the part that worries me. I’m beyond exhausted by developers who want to show off how rad they are with hardware, spectacle, and cinematics, by forcing players to play one ‘right’ way because they can’t be trusted.
