Pro-tip: even if it had missions, it’d still be pointless.

I loved that it could surprise me. Finding your dream ship in a space station, not knowing when you’d see that particular kind of ship again, was a thrill. Agonizing over whether it’s worth the credits, comparing the inventory size and upgrades felt like real, tangible choices. Now it feels closer to ticking off…
I never feel like it’s a waste though - to me it’s more about ‘hey, I found this thing on my own, neat’ than what was specifically found.
Someone else said it here, but 441 is the absolute most needed to expand everything. They put 459 more than you need, so you don’t feel like you *have to* collect everything to have a beneficial gameplay experience.
If the experiences you’re having with games are so meaningless that they leave no lasting impression, I don’t think having a note that says ‘hey buddy, you did the thing, here’s a useless nothing to remind you of that thing you don’t care about’ adds value.
Are you really mad that this game doesn’t have achievements?
Oh man, now I know you don’t’ know what you’re talking about. At least it’s nice to know I wasted time talking to someone who won’t read the thing they’re criticizing, plus feels comfortable dumping on a game they haven’t even played.
Did you read my thing?
I’m collecting plant poo so I can hold one more weapon...
It looks enough like the seeds that...maybe those seeds aren’t really seeds, either...
But the issue persists way too long after that. I get what Nintendo are trying to do here: they’re trying to get you to improvise, to experiment with indirect ways of dealing with enemies (bombs, rocks, fire, etc), to learn to use the game’s vast arsenal of weapons through necessity.
So...Space Breath of the Wild?
and starting getting excited about a potentially jailbroken gaming console and all the cool homebrew that could find its way onto the Switch in the future.
Stop bringing facts, evidence, and logic into this argument. Don’t you know? Every Year is the End of Nintendo (tm)
Because those behemoths MS and Sony truly understand the hand-crafted, artisanal, emotional beauty and true artistry of indie that cannot thrive in a cold calculated place like NintendoLand.
If you haven’t checked up on Hudson yet (the guy who leaves after your first payment) you get a whole other great questline too!
Fun iteration of this: using the Fire Rod spits out bouncing fireballs. You can basically paint a flight path in any field of grass with it!
Oh, another neat touch...
Since this seems like the place to gush about this stuff...
Thanks! :D
