Nintendo could effectively make the most cutting edge, most expensive, most ‘3rd party friendly’ console and 3rd parties would still hate it. Because it’s Nintendo making it.

I’d be curious to see what you think.

“I watched a game, so I know exactly how it plays under all conditions. Take my expert advice of this game’s definitive, irrefutable, crappiness, Because Nintendo”

In all seriousness, you do you. I believe in that above any of my usual nonsense when it comes to games.

Zelda 1 would like to have a chat :p

This is cute, because before reviews were dropping, Gamers and critics whined that if this were ‘just another open world game’ with all this space and nothing to do, it would be an abject failure.

I’d say the comparison is more like Witcher 3 is The Novel: The Movie: The Game and this is Oh Yeah, People Like Agency in Games.

I look at it like this: if you’re losing weapon durability in fights, but fights (seem to) give you weapons at a rate faster than the degradation, why complain?

“Never Own Anything, Ever Again”

Hey, I gotta give some benefit of the doubt though... :p

I did it back in ‘08 for about a month. I’d say it’s good work if you work with good people, better if it’s a temp thing. Then again, if you’re looking to a sales-oriented career, I wouldn’t know how good they are one way or another.

I laughed, literally out loud, in my tiny apartment at 8am on a Saturday.

Yeah, I’d like to think good ol’ fashioned investigative journalism led to this policy change. Good going!

You don’t need to buy both, or either, though?

I’d say Zelda but that’s just me.

I like her character design, and that’s about it.

Fun part is: Horizon was billed as the end-all by critics and if you see them now, it’s a doubling down of that hype, while quickly saying out the side of their mouths how combat gets clunky and repetitive, the open world doesn’t feel organic, that the story and graphics matter way more than what they have you do, how

if they don’t have a gaming PC, just get a gaming PC if all they care about is ‘best graphics’ and ‘most games on it’

So the usual Gamer recommendation is ‘get the one that has the most games on it.’ As if content you’ll never be interested in or touch counts as quality. Hey! Much like Gamers value stuff inside individual games!
