I’m really happy I changed my attitude about games over the years. The obsessive me in his teens and 20s would’ve been all about this, lamenting and cursing it the whole time. Pretty much sucking all enjoyment out of the thing for the sake of min/maxing, playing it ‘right,’ and making it a job.
