To be a bit cynical - just because we haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. Also: give it time. Sports has been a part of society for much longer.

You have a point but I only know gaming fandom on this level, and he asked about gaming things I’m too old for, not about movies or books or music.

Except by your description, everyone is a gamer. So no one is a Gamer. And that’s what Gamers hate.

So far I’ve seen you twice accuse two different bundles of pixels and names on a gaming message board of being ‘priveledged white dudes.’

You mean a publisher could see what Gamer scammers had in mind from a mile away, and guarded their interests against it? HOW DARE THEY!

“Hey, you know what’s better than paying for things? STEALING THEM. Aren’t I savvy consumer the entire market needs to placate, or what?!”

And being on discs one generation early would’ve fixed all that? This is the one singular action that ‘ruined’ them, sending them along this dark, sad path?
