Nah, because a feeling of depth on flat surfaces have more to do with value, colors, saturation, etc. than if it’s hand drawn or a 3D model. Especially if both 2D and 3D are being used in a fixed viewing angle.

Ah, but I never said ‘bleeding edge graphics’ is a PC strongpoint. Flexibility is. Being able to play based on spec, not on a rigid box and hope that backwards compatibility exists, is.

Outside of Pokemon Go, I haven’t really seen a game that has grabbed the mainstream’s psyche in such a way that the Atari/NES had. I don’t even recall a console doing that outside of the Wii.

Steam may as well be that ‘one tent for all your friends’ place. And if that’s the only value of consoles...you really want to spend $200-600+ every generation to get that?

This headline seems...misleading? It sounds like you’re saying up top that this was a thing Marvel was making and then cancelled (‘canned’), and then in the article it sounds like this was a fan project that Marvel C&Ded.
