Confession: I wish/wait for the day the games industry tanks again, and maybe I can stop spending so much on these distractions, and more time appreciating what I have, as well as seeing a new, smaller, more inclusive ‘industry’ rise from the ashes of this bloat.

I think so, but I like it from the angle of ‘lone wanderer exploring the cosmos’ and not ‘it better be every bit Minecraft/Terraria/Starbound but bigger and prettier, or else death threats for everyone’

Wait, you mean they shut down those sites, not because they’re a Big Evil Company Who Hates You, but because there were actual negatively-impacting consequences of allowing them to continue?

Yeah, and why is that? I love how 3rd parties release garbage and it’s Nintendo’s fault it doesn’t sell.

if anything, the PS2 showed us this, too.

The underlined statement is “loot boxes have a chance to drop gold so you can get what you want” and...loot boxes have a chance to drop gold. So you can get what you want.

Yeah...and never did Blizzard say you could get gold outside of loot boxes. So gold gives some flexibility to the randomization (and even that is random), but that’s not an admission of sin, nor a promise of ‘get what you want, when you want.’

Except the ‘chance gamble’ was always how it worked. That you can earn what you want, and not a random box, is just something Gamers invented in their heads. Screaming they were ‘lied to’ when they aren’t getting something that was never promised doesn’t make that true.

so...they killed his role...

but...how do you guys find/partner with illustrators on certain articles?

I always ask people if they got, out of the box, what was advertised to be in it.

Or they wanna replace it with something more usable, it seems.

I mean, if you want to adventure without an app, you can.

Yeah, but that was me being glib about the outrage over this.

I agree with a lot of this. The game is broken. Was on day 1. My friends and I all admitted, if this wasn’t Pokemon, we would have never tolerated the problems this long.

To get one thing sorted - I don’t think taking broken features out, especially when there's no communication to a solution, is ever a good thing. Especially when it’s a feature that’s pivotal to the main game.

Gamers on Day 1: “Pokemon Go is amazing! It’s like the thrill of the game’s adventure in real life! You explore more, take more risks, meet new people! It’s changing the world!”

I know, right?! It makes me sooo happy!

Of these ‘bests’ only two games are exclusive to the PS4, and one ‘remaster’ of a game that only came out a year or so before it was remade. The rest could be had on PC for the ‘best’ version.

This is how I know you don’t believe a word of what you just said
