I look at something like Punch-Out, for an example of ‘good and simple’ games.

to be fair, why would Capcom be motivated to reheat a franchise no one was buying back when it was ‘a big deal?’

First time since Ninja Gaiden 2 (the reboot 2, not the NES 2) that I’ve been legit excited for a Team Ninja game.

yeah, I think I might get these for my nieces. They’d definitely like either, and the larger dolls for playing with their others, but man...I’m a snob when it comes to good toy builds, and I like these better.

I think it’s because some teams lean on popular IP, hoping that just recreating a thing people liked means they won’t have to worry about designing an entire game from the ground up - only doing a prettier version of something that was already tried, tested, and approved by the audience.

this is...a LOT to remember

Thanks for saying it so I don’t sound like a broken record doing it.

I don’t think ‘scum’ - his writing and demeanor has always seemed to come from wanting to do due diligence in anything he writes about. But dang...if he didn’t get permission upfront, I’d think taking that whole segment out would be the way to go? I don’t know?

I think you missed why I quoted it? She’s not talking about online harassment, but about human trafficking, and the sad truth that for all her work in that field, THIS is what she got dragged into and attention for, not her humanitarian advocacy against human trafficking.

whoa

oh yeah, I’m not blaming game sites for this problem. Just that she makes a good point about this problem, and how it’s compounded by its lack of coverage.

“I’ve been a counter trafficking survivor advocate since 2009. No one is interested in doing press about that for years, but suddenly Gamergate and anti Gamergate insert me into their dispute and the media wants to talk. All that does is break my heart. I want nothing to do with either side, and I find this entire

I don’t remember being Mario in Luigi’s Mansion...

What keeps me from believing this stuff is some secret leak, is the lack of Starfox Guard on here. A lot of these ‘confirmed rumors’ are good guesses (Paper Mario on a home console? NO WAY), or just expansions on things we already knew existed (MHX Generations for US isn’t out of left-field).

Putting a fantastic game on the market and calling it metroid is not an accceptable substitute for an actual metroid game.

While I’d definitely take a new ‘true’ Prime, 3 shook my faith in the series. I wouldn’t take utter gutter trash like Other M and Fusion though!

What do Metroid fans want, though? Which ones do you listen to?

yeah, it’ll be Triforce Heroes all over again

I’d disagree - Other M was every bit the affront to the mainline games as critics say. I don’t think that’s reason to ‘take it out’ on this though.

What’s depressing is, as a game, this sounds interesting. A team based shooter where players can take on roles, strategically so since there’s a pool of gear and weight limits the team has to consider?
