The police are so brutal NYC that I think twice before calling them. They often make things worse. And this is yet another way police brutality hurts people. Because one ought not feel worried so real crime can be nipped in the bud.

This is so decadent. Pet getting fresh food when there are people in my neighborhood who can't buy decent fresh food. I don't know I spoil my cats but that's as much about my emotions as it is about their lives.

I have never seen a methods for controlling for SES without flaws. I suspect that children of gay parents might have some benefits. I don't know if this proves it.

Those who are saying US food is cheap because it is low quality are ignoring the fact that in many places where the food is 40% of the budget the quality of food and water is worse than in the US.

I live NYC and food used to eat up our budget. But two things have helped:

1. Living in the Bronx where there are not many fancy markets and prices are lower.
2. Joining a CSA and getting mandatory fresh veggies. My cooking is healthier and I've learned to cook seasonally with almost no meat.
