This triggered a bad memory of how after rewriting a history of cornrows for wikipedia the article was edited to imply the styles were all celtic in origin. And there where just too many of these clowns so I had to let them have their way. I later found a few good sources but they were deleted over and over. Ugggg.

It is hard to find a good braid despite there being a million of them in NYC. Though the women who did my wedding braids were amazing. I too braid my own hair now.

I spend $0 on hair care products or salons...but I miss the atmosphere of a braiding parlor.

Women of color are hurt by sexism in different ways. Black w0men face especially pernicious prejudices. A black trans woman is facing a very "special" toxic brew.

Race maters here and should not be erased.

It's neat to hear someone caring about a snake for once.

You are a hero if only there were more people like you.

Everything people are saying here is positive except the whole "I want to go cowboy on her" etc stuff. Roast her alive! Torture her! etc.

And you are right this is more common with cases that involve kid or *cute* animals. (ever seen outrage for a snake? Forget it)

Humidity makes my hair look better. :/

There are two types of women in NYC white Brooklyn women and white manhattan women the rest of us are just the help.

(I use NYC because I know it... but this works on a macro level too)

I don't think there is anyway to defend her. What I'm criticizing is the little hate party that these things start. And the free pass that people give to violent misogynistic language. And just violent retribution in general.

I don't need to defend her to criticize that.

I'd be even more cool if human appearance diversity could be a part of our lives with less fuss.

But this is good for now. I feel like I don't see enough people with injuries to the face or "different from the majority" so I still have this initial shock when I see it. But like other kinds of human variation that

I wonder how a race could pay out that much money? Unless it was a for profit race. Most of the time I dislike the idea that there are "too many law suits" but I feel like I've signed a waiver for every race I've run ... and even when I did not it's implicit.

Though I do not know the full story. Negligence is worthy of

I'd rather see if there is anyone else who is as ambivalent about the mob mentality.

OK now everyone is going to be all like "burn the witch" I get this is wrong. But, the reaction can scare me.

How do we even get boxes and what are they? I can't remember thinking I was a girl or a boy until school forced me to. It just seemed irrelevant. I don't define women by their bodies or fitting a woman mould or by how they act. I pay attention to what people say about who they are.

But to be honest the only reason I

These parents are so much better than most it is quite moving. But I don't know if this is perfect.

"Studies have shown that most people figure out what gender they are between the ages of 3 and 5."

I often wonder if this is because we are forced to PICK ONE.

I'm 34 and the jury is still out.

"but it's obviously not unnatural or depraved for an adult male to find a 16 year old female, or male for that matter, attractive."

A subordinate can't really give consent. Consent is a mirage in teacher-student relations it's always a violation.

Close family are the ones most likely to rape and abuse young people. so... now what?
