Slade's only interesting to me when he has a vengeance boner for Oliver Queen, and is constantly growling the word "kid" like he has a throat full of gravel and sandpaper.

I remember when there were rumors swirling that Hoffman was being considered for the Penguin in the as-yet-untitled Batman Begins sequel.
They need to bring Tockman back. Dude was in one episode of Arrow and one of The Flash, and BOTH of them rocked. He's too damned good to still be warming the bench at Iron Heights!
Which still blows my mind. I mean, the Justice League didn't show up on Smallville until WELL into the superhero movie boom… so what, exactly, was so troublesome to the showrunners about actually putting the characters in costumes?
Yep!
"Smithers, get the amnesia ray."
(ahem) … It's "Ohmygosh, I was wrong".
I find it much more likely that, once the "NuTrek" films run out of steam, Paramount will either try to crank out some kind of "NuNextGen" franchise, or they'll just stop making Trek movies for another decade.
Honestly, of all the animated movies, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is my absolute FAVORITE, because it feels like a real, substantial culmination to the Batman/Joker relationship. It gives us one of the strongest "last tales" of Batman and his team ever written (that doesn't mercilessly rip off The Dark Knight…
Yeah, in certain circles I'm the weird one because I don't consider Batman: Mask of the Phantasm the best Batman movie.
Yeah, it feels like two scripts that were kind of smashed together awkwardly… which, well, it kind of was. That movie had a HELL of a lot of writers attached to it.
The Tim Roth-vs.-Hulk fight was so great that it actually made me kinda sad that we never got a Captain America-vs.-Hulk fight later on.
This whole YEAR has been f%$#ing bonkers for superhero movies. EVERY ONE of them so far has been great: Logan, The LEGO Batman Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, vol. 2, Wonder Woman, and now Spider-Man: Homecoming. We're two movies away from a perfect year for comic book movies— and Thor: Ragnarok is looking like a sure…
Aaaaand while I respect your opinion regarding the Nolan trilogy and The Dark Knight in particular, I just wanted to say that I vehemently, vitriolically disagree with it, to the point that I am frothing at the mouth while typing this very comment. Because those are my absolute favorite adaptations of the Batman…
Yep— that was Pete's profession during the J. Michael Straczynski run on Amazing Spider-Man. He was a science teacher at Midtown High, and he ended up trying to mentor a bullied student that he identified with for a while there. It was a really strong, mature direction to take his character in.
That was Arnim Zola, not M.O.D.O.K.! Two completely different, yet equally ridiculous looking characters! Get it right!
I, uh… really, really hated Superior Spider-Man.
I remember actually thinking at first that Arrow was gonna be some kind of spin-off or prequel to the Green Arrow character from Smallville, and I was TOTALLY uninterested in seeing it.
Okay, while I would love to see Allison Mack pop up in the Arrowverse or on Supergirl in ANY kind of stunt-cast capacity… this is now officially my top pick for her.
YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
