Fair enough— but I would still suggest checking it out yourself. It's good stuff!

Hmm. Well, it does deal with the complexities of war in a fairly mature way (i.e. there are a couple of sad parts)… and WW does mow through a plethora of bad guys with wild abandon… but it's all done in a rather PG-13 way, and Diana herself is presented as heroic, noble, and virtuous (if a bit impetuous at first).

I would have dug the hell outta that! Keep Superman and Batman (and possibly Wonder Woman) seperate, and drop the B-listers into a League by themselves!

Well, they've had plenty of time to muck with it since I saw the test screening in October, so if it comes out in June and it really DOES suck, trust me: you're going to hear me bitching louder than ANYONE.

Well, they could have made a Justice League that didn't HAVE a Batman in it (which would actually make more sense, since there's no rational way in HELL Batman should be able to keep up with a team of superbeings), but obviously Warner Bros. wouldn't have the balls to try something like that

He's contractually obligated to star in it, and he started writing it before Batman v. Superman came out to scathing reviews an inadequate box office.

Nope— I think he ditched the job himself. Warner Bros. wouldn't want to force him out; they would WANT him in that director's chair, because even if his last film didn't do so well, he's still an Oscar-winning filmmaker. He brings a degree of legitimacy to the project that they would sorely need to offset the

Well, can't say I'm TOO surprised. Affleck's been pissy and confrontational about his involvement with this movie for weeks.

"Starting with Batman V Superman, DC just felt like they were flailing to
grab as much money from the "comic book movie bubble" as they could,
before it eventually pops."

I've been over Batman since The Dark Knight Rises came and went.

I think it might be a bit more pretentious than that. I'm betting Affleck probably feels that the whole failure of Live by Night is because he's been splitting his attention between his serious work and a goddamn superhero movie.

Caught a test screening in October. Don't worry; it's good.

Having seen Wonder Woman and knowing that it's pretty solid, I would be 100% okay if that was the only good thing to come out of this.

Yeah, but even Mary Sues can be compelling to watch if they have a modicum of personality. All we know about Alice as a person is that her name is Alice, and that she may- or may not remember everything.

I would argue that the first film, while trying to be ominous with an air of dread, still can't quite manage to be scary. So it doesn't quite work for me.

I could never enjoy these movies. A zombie horror franchise that wasn't scary and put no effort into their zombies? What was the point?

At this point, adding things for the show to keep screwing up is never going to serve as an enticement to come back. As long as it's the same creators, it's just gonna keep being terrible.

I still feel that revealing Lynda Carter to be an alien was a HUGE misstep that undermined and even sabotaged that episode's progressive message.

Ha! Leave it to Melissa Benoist to put a smile on my face even when things are at their bleakest. She's the best.

To be clear, his space magic ring is supposed to be powered by SCIENCE! The exact nature of the science was never made clear (until Geoff Johns decided the answer should be "concentrated feels"), but in the GL books from the Silver Age forward, the idea was that the rings themselves were some kind of high-tech alien
