I know. But the shows have been playing Captain Cold and Heat Wave as kind of a "buddy-crook" pair— "one's a hothead, one's a cool customer, together they can take this town for all it's worth… if they don't kill each other first!"

I kinda hope they kill Heat Wave. He's fun, but I kinda prefer Captain Cold as a solo act, rather than half of a duo.

Wow— this episode is already a HUGE improvement over season three!

Millar's creator-owned work is really horrible. It's crass, cynical, nihilistic… between Wanted, Kick-Ass, and Nemesis, you really get the sense that there is some twisted, awful sh*t lurking in Millar's subconscious.

Her superhero name had BETTER be Speedy. They spent way too much time building that up.

I kinda figured that 4chan was made up of the scum of the Earth, but I'd always hoped that at least SOME of that twisted perspective and unrestrained vitriol was a put-on. Too much to hope for, I suppose.

Roseburg, OR. is my hometown.

Oh, hey, that's cool— I didn't realize there was a new Ms. America in the Marvel universe! I'm hoping she gets some more exposure being on the Ultimates, because I always thought Ms. America was an identity that should be revived; she's almost as old a character as Captain America.

This applies to me, too… but only because I really, really love Last Action Hero, and I only like AC/DC.

Hahaha! Hey, I'll freely admit I'm a weirdo. I didn't like Grant Morrison's Batman run, either. So don't listen to my cantankerous jibber-jabber.

Obviously you never read Greg Rucka's run. Or Gail Simone's. Hell, I'd even take John Byrne's Wonder Woman run over the misogynist, cynical, completely misdirected take on Wonder Woman that Brian Azzarello crapped out.

Deep Impact: the world's most powerful recorded hug.

I totally agree! I've been disappointed in DC over their handling of this whole "connected universe" concept— I'd hoped that DC would establish themselves as a counterpoint to Marvel, building prestige solo franchises around their iconic characters a la the Dark Knight Trilogy.

Yeah, maybe Man of Steel set the stage for a cinematic universe… but it didn't tell its own STORY very well. And the thing is, I think Man of Steel could have been a stronger story, if there had just been more effort made to flesh out the characters and relationships… a little less time spent on scenes of devastation,

Yeah, I am still looking forward to BvS, if for no other reason than the fact that it'll be the first big-screen appearance of Wonder Woman (a character I love and that I've been waiting a long time to see on the screen). Also, Jesse Eisenberg's comments give me reason to think this could be very well written, which

I'm a DC fan, and I'm WAY more excited for Civil War than I am for Batman v. Superman.

Well, she's not ACTUALLY called Spider-Gwen in the books. That's just the title. In the comics themselves, she's called "Spider-Woman"… but since there's ALREADY a Spider-Woman comic (starring Jessica Drew, the character Joe Blevins seems to have confused Spider-Gwen for being a reinterpretation of), they needed a

Man, Robin's New-52 revamp costume is waaay too busy. It looks like an action figure Kenner would have put out in the late 90s. "Extreme Justice Robin"!

I'm honestly annoyed that, rather than doing an in-continuity Batman Beyond series with Terry McGinnis— y'know, the character that Batman Beyond fans actually liked and grew up watching on T.V.— they decided that the best way to get people interested in the book was to kill off Terry before the new series even started

Actually, Johns was doing work-for-hire when he brought Jordan back. Dan DiDio was the guy who decided that resurrecting Hal would give the Green Lantern books a shot in the arm; he just picked Johns to do it because he knew Johns loved the character, and had a talent for retcons.
