I think Mark Strong would be a fine Stannis. He has already shown that he can handle weapons and has a fierce stoicism about him.
Tried to promote with button didn't work so maybe a reply will?
Thanks for the clarification, I wasn't sure about the order and I couldn't pry the book out of my husband's hand to check. It will be interesting how this plays out.
It actually bothered me in the books when her hair burned off because if fire cannot harm her then why would it harm her hair? For that reason I don't really have an issue with her keeping her hair.

Also Elia is from Dorne where it has been established that they do not frown upon extra marital relationships and the children born of these relationships are members of the family. She comes from a culture like Rhaegar where this type of behaviour is accepted.
Agreed. Thank you. I was happily speculating about something on a different thread and someone stepped with a "Actually..." Sigh. Part of the fun is in the speculation and theories. That was the fun of Lost and is the fun of Fringe for me.
John Noble can express more with a simple look than most actors can accomplish with a paragraph of dialogue. He tugs at my heart every time he is on screen. Brilliant.
It bothered me too - why would Mormont even make that comment given that Dany has the eggs as well as the phycial evidence of the existence of dragons? Or was he simply trying to stop her from getting any false hope?
Agreed for all of the reasons you have said and more that we can't go into. She is one of my least favourite characters - sometimes I just want to smack her. Let me say that Sansa takes after her mother's side and Arya her father's and leave it at that :)
Ding ding ding! You are a winner sir. It is all in the hair.
The frog eaters don't show up until 300 pages into Clash of Kings at the banquet, I don't recall them being in GoT.
That is one of the things I am so enjoying is that they are taking some dialogue from the book verbatim!
I guess he is probably the most successful Hand ever since he still has his head! :)
I think that Grand Maester Purcell was alluding to Aerys and that he has worked for a Mad King before so he can deal with Joffery as well.
Hear, hear!
Well silly, she had to nurse them!
No - can't say anything more than that.
I don't see Tywin as very intelligent where it comes to his children.
