IIRC, that was one of 3 (or 6?) built to shuttle VIPs around...the indy 500? Let me see if I can find the writeup, I think I took a pic.
I’m not sure what that is, but I don’t think so? Just some dude that has a Figaro, far as I know. Talked to the guy for a bit and he told me the whole history
I did not! This was actually the first time I had seen (or heard of) a Figaro and it’s on our list for when we have garage parking.
And then just because...some of my cars (I only own the C30 and the Scooter right now)
:)
This D90 is available for rent on Turo (it’s also for sale):
Note the “Check Engine” sticker where inspection sticker belongs:
All from Katie’s C&C, Great Falls, VA...
Ahh, yeah, I haven’t given any consideration to traffic data bandwidth, since the only times I’ve been concerned with the data usage I was totally offline. Would be interesting to see a comparo with your usage scenario.
As mentioned elsewhere, Nokia’s here maps. You can download any maps offline and use search/POI/turn-by-turn with no service. Invaluable when traveling internationally or in the boonies.
Question for Drew:
is it weird that I’m a 30+ yo dude and learned more from this thread than I did from a semester of...whatever the sex ed elective was called (parental development?)
Grassroots Motorsports did an article a long time ago where they made one of these run 13s for next to nothing. My google-fu sucks, though (and it was like...1996)
👍
I’ve gone to this the last three weekends in a row. I keep telling myself I’m going to sleep in, but today my buddy offered to drive his new GT-R!
He was at Great Falls at 7!
I’m super bummed I won’t be around at 2, but his article on Momentum Limits has stuck with me for so many years, because it showed a young me that smart could be interesting.
