Something that comes to mind while reading this, is that men have always been very afraid of women, and that is why they restrict our lives.

Ok I know I’m supposed to hate that song, but fuck it I love it it’s catchy as hell and it is perfect chair dancing music to have on your headphones at work in your cubicle pretending to be anywhere besides work. Love it.

I’m going to be honest, I think this is a very tough movie to talk about with a feminist perspective, because it’s hard to talk about the wrinkles and nuances in the characters without sounding like you are in some sense either dismissing the text itself, or minimizing the issues on display.

But polyamorous relationships require work and communication, too.

I think that may be it. Some people, like myself, do do monogamy easily. It’s not hard for me to be faithful for years and over long distances. It’s a combination of maturity, teamwork, knowing yourselves, and being naturally inclined to want monogamy in the first place. It’s not for everyone.

I think it suggests that everybody is different and has different experiences with marriage and with everything else.

So a dude with more money than most people see in their lives chose to take advantage of economically-disadvantaged individuals for the sake of some anti-Semitic “humor,” and is now surprised that there are consequences that go with that kind of behavior.
