I believe that if she had moved in with her grandmother and lived there for two years she would be allowed to legally inherit the lease.

Stay strong, sister!

I was, and it was very similar and very ugly. I didn’t lose friends over it, but there were some heated exchanges and maybe still a little bit of weirdness left over. I hate primary season.

Yeah, it doesn’t seem like it encourages casual voters. On the other hand, Democracy In Action!

Jealous! It would be super interesting to caucus instead of just spending 5 minutes standing around on my phone, ducking behind a screen and filling out and oval and then leaving. Doesn’t feel very participatory.

I’ve spent the last few weeks feeling a little down and almost ashamed, thinking that the good lefty thing to do is support Sanders. And I do! I love him! I love his politics! I just happen to think that Hillary is better qualified, more temperamentally suited and more electable. AND the thought of a female president

Sure - one of. But not the only. Actively working to deconstruct patriarchal systems would be another key element. One without the other is just opportunism.

If knowing is something that will make your partner’s life better, tell them. If telling them is something you’re only doing to make yourself feel better, don’t.

I was so confused! Completely at peace with the decision, but a total weeping screaming mess. And then it just sort of passed after a week.

Thanks for the normalcy of this.

I can’t stand the complaint that she’s too nakedly ambitious and she just says things “because she wants to be president.” Like - do they think you just wake up one morning and get to be president? Without actually wanting it? As a woman? WTF?

There is no source. It’s BS. This poster is a troll.

Kind of a weird fun-house place to be, since the reality is that having a uterus has disqualified you from being President.

I know not from the Kardashians but can someone please explain why this is assumed to be some crazy escapade and not another keep-everyone-in-the-headlines move? It seems obvious that all of these feuds and twitter wars are completely artificial. Am I crazy?

Yup. CYA is about the only way some things ever get uncovered.

I can’t believe the number of people who (at least pretend to) have no idea that big conferences pay big names to come talk to make the company look important. It’s a giant circle jerk and it is NOT where the sausage gets made.

This is interesting. I’ve had exactly the opposite experience. As a mixed-race woman I’ve always been popular at home. In Europe I’m either completely ignored or hit on in the crudest most cat-calling ways.

He said that when they trained them at the academy there were hundreds of people and like 6 dummies, and that they were fed the answers to the written exam. So he was “trained,” but not actually trained. He said.

Hmm I wonder what’s different about him?

Good point - Sanders has been in office longer. I think when people talk about experience they also care about the level - Secretary of State being pretty high-ranking, whereas if she had been Mayor of Wasilla it would be less impressive. So yeah, fewer years in office, but pretty high powered in those years.
