Thanks again Big Green.

My 35 Mbps service from Charter typically gives me 50-55 Mbps now that they fixed the overloaded node (I had been getting 1-3 Mbps until they fixed it).

I worry about the push to deliver TV over Internet at a time when the major Internet providers are instituting caps. Imagine your TV being rationed.

So you have difficulty with logic? That explains everything, thank you. I made the common Internet mistake of thinking I was dealing with someone of intelligence. My bad. I won't trouble you anymore with logical arguments. Cheers.

Sorry, I have no idea what these "underpants gnomes" are, but you appear to have a great deal of hostility towards them. Nevertheless, congratulations upon finding your thesaurus.

Yep. The only thing that was missing here was lacrosse, but we fixed that!

You do realize that everyone does his job "for money," right?

Same here. NY to NV and never looking back. Best move I could have made!

Awww, we're all so sorry for you. Perhaps we should do more to curtail prosperity so we can all drive an 08 Fit? Of course, I was talking about the research mega bucks available for politically correct "scientific" crusades. As with many religions, the local priest, shaman, or "scientist" may not be getting rich, but

It also makes lots of money. That's why people buy this garbage. Scientific illiteracy is absolutely alarming in America!

LOL! Oh, wait, this isn't satire?

This was called "Purity Control" right? We got it from the aliens...

So nice to come across the occasional person here with knowledge of history!

Then you could be unemployed there. There is no such thing as a free lunch. All those benefits provided by "the government" are still paid for by the people and their businesses. As a result, all of these fun freebies result in much higher unemployment.

Anyone in favor of this should read "Three Felonies a Day." It is a scary book about how the hyper-regulatory state in which we live has done away with the legal notion of having the mental state to commit a crime, and simply prosecuted people for violating obscure regulations that no one could have known about

I have to admit, I thought the iPad was going nowhere too. I thought, too big for the pocket, but can't do what the laptop can. By design, it is a second device (it doesn't replace your computer or your iPhone). Who's gonna shell out major bucks for that?

Even more fun is how people throw their trash in your private residence can at the street, then you get a fine for recyclables in your trash can. I really don't miss leaving that place!

Good luck keeping the noise in when the Nets are in the NBA Finals this year!

All the computers where I work are XP and probably will be for another decade or so. (I'm a teacher in a public school)
