...and by cutting these races she'll probably giver herself a bonus.
Me too. Our school had a fundraiser, a book readathon. People agreed to donate a certain amount for every book read. Well, at the time I was tearing through the Three Investigators series, Roald Dahl, Choose Your Own Adventures...I'd read over a hundred books, and some people had pledged a dollar a book. I didn't…
Excessive swearing is exactly the same as adding um, uh, or like to your sentences. It's a crutch, voluntarily used, that winds up crippling you over time.
Love the discussion, been going and looking at the options...this is getting expensive! So far games I've really liked from comments have included:
Games shouldn't take longer than an hour with two people. Conflict is fine, working together would be fun too.
Does not have to be a card game, can be a board game. We have young kids who go to bed early and we're not tv watchers, so board and card games can be a nice way to spend an evening unwinding.
I am a huge Pratchett fan.
This is as good a place as any to ask this question: looking for a game to play with my wife. Can be a board game or card game, can play with more than two people, but has to be enjoyable for just two people as well. A friend suggested a card game called killer bunnies, is that a good choice?
I'm not much of a flosser, and I'm a once a day tooth brusher. This doesn't bother my dentist so long as I come in for 6month teeth cleanings.
I live in Dallas, and go running at 5am. I see bunnies all the time. Sometimes you see an armadillo or possum, but more often than not...bunnies.
I do have that. Truth be told, we watch very little TV anyway.
I have a Tivo a PS3 and an Xbox 360. I use Netflix and Amazon. I get local channels OTA.
I'm married, three kids under the age of five. It is rare that I get any time alone at this point...the focus of your time being on your kids and family. Last weekend I found out I was going to have the house entirely to myself for about three hours. How was that time best utilized? Some small repair projects,…
I can totally see this happening
Umm...did she end this with a Yo Mamma joke?
Totally agree, I love shoes that discourage heel striking. But two caveats: first, I've been running for a few years and I've seen people running with so many different forms, I feel a bit ridiculous giving advice other than this worked for me. Second, if you're going to switch your form, be patient and start over. …
My first pair of running shoes were from target, 30 dollars. They were good until my mileage increased and I started fretting knee pain and shin splints. Talked to marathon friend and he pointed me to Newtons. Expensive, but my last pair lasted over 500 miles.
I don't want to set up the inevitable "fine, I'll pay for it with my own money", that I see time and time again. And I feel that teaching your kids to use their money should not include buying toys and video games, because you are essentially teaching to buy material goods, not necessities.
