Interesting. I don't want to teach my kids you have to work for money (the chore route) and I don't want to just hand them money (the allowance route). Both seem to create instant gratification, where they will want to immediately spend it.

I like runkeeper, you can track swimming from it. As for your triple whammy of running injuries, sounds like you're needing to adjust your running form. Less pressure on that heel, try to land flat, and reduce your mileage when starting over. Good luck!
I always enjoyed the moments you could get Shepard dancing. So endearingly awkward.
Love old Foxtrots. Thanks for posting!
I did this with chicken all the time. So now I cook in a pan, searing both sides, then finishing in a 350-400 degree oven.
We were recently at a restaurant, this guy walks past and my three year old daughter points and says (loud 3 year old voice), "That man is fat!"
I'm not fond of needles either, so I donate blood at least once a year. When you donate blood they use a much larger needle than you usually get in a doctors office, and that makes doctor visits much easier. Remember, when you donate blood you get juice and cookies (positive reinforcement!).
If stuff is really on there, some boiling water and scrape with a spatula. Let water boil off, finish with kosher salt rubdown while pan still hot, ditch the salt, rub in some oil. I just use paper towels for the salt and oil. Then let the pan cool and put it away. 90% of the time, no water is necessary.
I really prefer running without music, I find it to be demotivating. I used to love it, I'd kind of trance out and let the miles flow by. But recently I've found that I start counting the songs, and it bums me out. Okay, this song just started, that's three minutes, and so three songs for the next mile...maybe…
Geez, I was a female engineer. I feel special.
I was trying hard to like Zero, but I really hate playing the game and having everyone turn blue.
I get that. But I miss Liliths's personality. In this game, the characters aren't resonating as well with me.
I do like playing solo. Multiplayer is difficult because of the small amounts of time I can invest into playing a game...and I have a 6 month old whom I'm trying not to wake up. And solo is a problem because I just don't like the characters personalities.
I've gotten nowhere in this game because I've played every character, and I've yet to find a great fit. I don't think I've gotten a character past level 20. Right now I'm trying to focus on Zero, because melee is fun. But which character is your favorite, and why? Maybe I'm just playing them wrong.
I thought it was awesome when he was on that 30 Rock episode.
So true. Bill Cosby had the joke that one child parenting doesn't count, because if something's broken, you know who did it. We have three kids now, and they are all excellent "I don't know"ers.
Normally I don't care, either. But I do love good artwork and well written manuals.
I liked the artwork and would prefer a physical copy. Also, not expected to be out until 12/14, which is forever. I see no reason to buy an unfinished product now, given that they've already reached their goal. I'll wait and if it reviews well, I'll buy it then.
I'm thinking this because 1) there is no limit to the number of people that can order the physical copy, 2) there is no language stating that only kickstarters who order at a certain tier can get a physical copy, and 3) developers like money.
I was looking at it and to get a physical copy would cost 65 right now. But they've already met their goal and when it comes out it'll probably be on sale for 40...so I'm saving my cash.
