I’m starting to think that the production process for Rogue One was deliberately vague and ad hoc so that the endless speculation on alternate endings and deleted scenes could fill the time, advertising-and-movie-buzz-wise, between Rogue One and Episode 8.

While recognizing that a handful of seconds in a trailer is nothing and who knows how this will be after a few full episodes...
