Wonderful interview. When I saw the movie, it looked like a lot of effort went into the production design, but wow, I didn’t realize how much. They made it look so natural. I will not be upset if Ms. Ling wins the Oscar for her work.

Man, you are knocking it out of the park with these, Katie. What a great read. And the before/afters are really cool to look at as well, it’s pretty funny how the janky-looking crosswalk light seems to be there in both Grauman shots (while the crosswalk itself was painted over to get that 1969 feeling).
I am mixed on the movie, but I would give the Oscar for production design in minute.
I’m just going to pretend this movie is about Bucky Barnes.
If they missed Bad Boys II Men before, they’re hardly trying.
“Sh!t just got real” takes on a whole new meaning.
Get a towel, probably.
This is just Cats with updated CG. Every week they change it. Next week it’s going to be The Turning.
That’s why I love Ignaity. The whole review is a great read, but the fact that he noticed and included that title credit detail is the best part (if I actually watched this movie that credit probably would have been the most amusing part of the movie, too).
Bad Boys for Lif3.
They quote Bay Boys’ iconic shot of a plane
How do you not save the title Bad Boys 4 Life until the fourth movie!?! Come on Hollywood get your shit together.
So the best idea ever? The amount of care, attention and research that Ignatiy puts into his reviews of mediocre movies should be an inspiration to makers and consumers of mediocre products across the world (aka every person alive).
That Kylo spends the first two movies negging and pursuing Rey like a bad pick-up artist, only to get a romantic send-off is one of the parts of TROS which should age even worse that the rest of the film.
“It’s so cool that they’re bringing in Palpatine’s boss(?) after never mentioning him in any movies. So neat that he was just off-screen the entire time!”
This thing we’ve never seen before could be fine if done right. Have to try and explain your way around how it wouldn’t invalidate the Rule of Two. Get around that and go nuts. Have him be outside the Rule of Two in some way.
But making this guy somewhat lovecraftian could work. An entity that works on much longer…
Wait, wait- Cameron basically wanted Ed Harris to be the first, healthy fully grown human test subject for breathing perfluorocarbon? I can’t imagine why anyone might hate working with Cameron. Eagerly awaiting his next movie to be filmed in space as he urges Christian Bale to attempt a theoretical method for…
Wait, this movie isn’t about the housing market crash?
Great monster movie poster for DeepStar Six, too
Petition for Hollywood to stop using placeholder names.
