Even knowing exactly what was going to happen in this episode, I ended up bawling like a baby as I watched. I give credit to the voice actors more than anything/anyone else, simply because their voices portrayed the proper emotions. It gave so much to the reveal.

I think people often forget that in both film and television, network execs (and now the accountants who really run the show based solely on budgets) can easily hinder any production. With a LOT of shows, their budgets are deemed "too high" and good staff just can't take it any more and leave, as is their right. Then…

It's because Toei is that cheap. One of the animators is on Tumblr and is constantly posting about how tiny the budget is, and how much of the work is outsourced to Toei's (much cheaper) Chinese team.
