Ahhh yes, Rennsport Reunion. One of the best weekends of my year. So many amazing cars in one spot. Loved it...

Did you read the article? The family had mining companies interested leasing the land to mine there. The land wasn’t inaccessible until the government made it that way and started bullying the family in an attempt to get them off the land. The government created this situation. The land was useable and worthwhile…
Fantastic article Tyler. I can't imagine going through the nightmare that these folks have had to deal with. I've seen several comments from folks saying they should have taken the money and run, but I disagree. Stick to your guns folks. Don't be bullied and screwed. Get what you deserve.
This combined with the asinine speeding laws in Virginia certainly reinforce my desire to stay the hell out of that state. Yeesh.
I’m with you. The P1 may not be as loud and screamy as the Ferrari, but the P1 has a better sound for sure.
I have a bunch of photos and videos. Currently on my plane home, but can share more later.
It was a genuinely mind blowing weekend. The amount of cool Porsche metal on hand was incredible. Fantastic event.
Rest in peace Mr. Jones. Your films helped to mold my gearhead tendencies today and for that I am deeply greatful. I don’t own a bug (I will eventually), but I do have another member of the aircooled family, my ‘63 Single Cab. Thanks for the inspiration.
I’m surprised the insurance companies don’t already require prison style fencing, but yeah I agree.
Huh, no kidding. Thanks for the info.
The fencing around the track isn’t exactly robust, so having people on the grounds does not surprise me. That said, if they were able to gain access to cars related to the Skip Barber racing school that surprises the hell out of me. Sounds like Skip might need to get his shit together in regards to securing the race…
Great shot. The Aston was one of my favorites of the race. Was pleased that they came in 2nd right behind the Turner crew.
Yup! They finished the weekend despite this little flop.
That white Mk3 VW is being piloted by my good friend Smitty.
What I Ride: 2005 Triumph Bonneville T100
Why: I was looking for a bike that I could have some fun on, but wasn’t too powerful or fast. I really like going fast, so having a bike that wouldn’t allow me to push the top speed too much was the right choice for me, haha. I’ve turned it into a jack of all trades. It’s set…
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the AMG GT Black Series. I saw what I believe to be the test mule of that specific car tearing around the Nurburgring when I was there back in April.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed following along as SCG has done so much cool and fascinating work. Keep up the great work!
This is awesome. Herrmann has that adventurous spirit and is making things happen within his means. Like many others here I’ll drool over the expensive overland rigs and have daydreamed plenty of times about how I would build mine (Defender 110 with all the bells and whistles). There are other times that I realize how…
I was there on Monday and didn’t see this car. Bummer. I did however see them running a ATS-V coupe. I also saw Lotus testing a very loud, camo’d Evora, Jag testing what I believe is their upcoming SUV and Mercedes testing what appeared to be the Black Series variation of the AMG GT. I’ve got some videos on my phone.
Congrats on the success of the site and new opportunities. I’ve had a particular fondness for Tyler and Stef’s contributions to the site recently, so those two notes are my favorite part of the news. Viva la Jalopnik.
