Even in rough shape it still has amazing presence. One of my favorite automotive designs ever.

Wow, this thing really does have some Porsche influence in the back there. While I'm not sure I'd choose this over the Segre designed Ghia, I do genuinely like the design. Thanks for introducing me to yet another member of the aircooled family that I didn't know about! I wish I could import one of these and a Brasilia…
Tyler, do these JLENS balloons have any connection with the similar to the Tethered Aerostat Radar System's that have been monitoring our southern border for years? I've seen the one floating in the Florida Keys before. I'm guessing this is an upgraded and improved system more inline with monitoring hostile threats?
Oh man, this is amazing. I'd be like a kid in a candy store watching those guys tear through there. I've always enjoyed watching the jets fly over when I'm down in Key West, but this is a whole nother level. Great video.
Yup. First thing that came to my mind as well. There's even a University involved in the development, just like the movie. I was waiting for a picture of young Val Kilmer in a lab coat to pop up in the article, haha.
Cool little Beetle. Looks to be on bags. And as others have pointed out, that fuel filter placement is suspect.
I always enjoy your articles Tyler. Nice job.
I just tracked down a bit more info. The guy who owns it is on Instagram - @bigups. According to a photo he posted on there it's a '68, is the only one in North America and 1 of 109 left in the world. Not sure how accurate any of that is.
I genuinely feel bad for anyone who is there. This is fucking awful. No one who has tuned in to see a car reveal has any desire to watch this nonsense. The only good thing has been plethora of vintage jags they've been rolling on and off the stage. Just cut the shit and reveal the damn car.
I wasn't sure about it initially, but these photos have changed my mind. That car is gorgeous.
The Audi RS6 wagon cruising through the English countryside to The Cult's She Sell Sanctuary at the beginning of Layer Cake (it also appears at other times in the movie).
Their cash flow problems existed before these events happened, as they've been unprofitable for the past three years.
I live in Worcester and travel to Metro-Boston for work. This does not surprise me. At all. Combine aggressive driving with cell phone use with a horrible grasp on the physics of driving a vehicle and a general disregard for traffic rules/signage and you've got the typical driver in this area. Not a day goes by that…
Haha! This made my morning. Thanks Torch.
Damn it Torch. I can't go to Tennessee right now! But that's all I want to do. How could you do this to me?!
I should have separated those points more clearly. I don't see an issue with the practice in general. In this instance it was handled completely wrong by the tech/service advisor/dealer.
As I stated in my original post this is a whole dealership issue. That shit wouldn't fly at my local Audi dealer.
If that's the case he shouldn't have a job anymore.
