Another year for Sony at E3 and another year where almost everything you saw had no release dates and is pretty much guaranteed to be shown next E3 too.

That format was just the worst. That intermission took the excitement level from “can’t wait to see what’s next!” to “oh this is still on?”

You know it’s been a rather lame E3 when Star Fox being in Ubisoft’s Space Skylanders might qualify as the biggest surprise.

I think you might’ve missed the sarcasm in the post; the all-caps hysterical screaming was meant to be the big clue...the gaslighting at the end was just a masterful follow-up combo.

Microsoft doesn’t care if you buy an Xbox and play there or buy it on PC (running Win10). That’s kind of where they’re going with iterative hardware. Don’t want to deal with a PC? Okay, here’s a family of “consoles” that play the games. Want to play on PC? Great, we’ll sell you just the software.

I respect the fuck out of how Microsoft is handling Gears of War compare to how EA is fucking about with Command & Conquer. They showed off a mobile game, and then a turn-based tactics game, AND THEN ALSO a more traditional game for the franchise.

Fortunately the bulk of the gears fanbase really liked Kait. And the idea of rotating protagonists within the group between games is a good one.
