So if we don’t credit Hinkie for those picks, what grand things are we going to credit him for?

As a Celtics fan, we have all been forced to endure the “Marcus Smart needs to get a jumper this summer” ritual. As anyone can see its been brutal, fruitless, and murder inducing.

Ask Rajon Rondo how long it took to fix his jumper.

I was just thinking about guys like Hayward and Irving when they come back healthy, or Horford, but your point is taken.

Idk, he already has the attitude/swagger of peak Rajon.

What blows my mind is how people think the Lebron and Simmons comparison is even remotely similar. Lebron had a shaky jumper, but he still shot 29% from three his first year. He’s shot 36% the past two years, so we are talking like a 7% improvement over a career. Simmons was 0% from three this year, how does everyone

Not to pour salt in your wounds* but the Celtics are younger.

From the first time he entered the playoffs LeBron played well in clutch moments and made the correct basketball decisions, because the Cavaliers, unlike the 76ers, were smart and knew how impressionable young player’s playing habits are.

I’m kind of on the fence about the Process. I hate those that ardently defend it as though it is beyond reproach, and I also detest those who look at every little negative thing that happens to Sixers, and rejoice “See? The Process is a failure. Why can’t you do it like Milwaukee?” (loud fart noise)

It’s funny how I remember an oversized rookie point guard coming into the league with a granny push shot from 15 feet not only making a splash in the playoffs but kicking Philadelphia ass in the Finals.

Simmons has size and talent, but not only doesn’t he have a jump shot he doesn’t seem to have a Plan B for when his

Can I give my completely petty reason for not liking Ben Simmons? The dude seems like the least charismatic star (or future star) in the league. I mean, the lead picture for this story completely encapsulates his lack of anything resembling an interesting human emotion. He looks both bored and boring. At least Kawhi

Dumb dumb, they faced high pressure situations and repeatedly wilted. Getting reps at being bad doesn’t make you good, it makes it more likely for you to always be bad.

Ben Simmons is a very good player, but until he can reliably make jumpers his teams will have a playoff ceiling: unless playoff matchups break perfectly for him he’ll always be facing coaches good enough to neutralize his strengths. Can you imagine him trying this “Can’t shoot outside 5 feet” shit on KD and the Dubs

They can’t all be Darko and win a title in their rookie season. Ben’s only human.

He attempted 11, giving him the same stat line from three as noted sniper Andre Drummond.

I heard another RR point guard as a comparison, Rajon Rando.

He actually shoots the deepest threes in the league on average, because all 11 of his attempts were desperation heaves.

Good point! He’s the guy who drafted Okafor, so it could have been so much worse!

They just need to actualize their weakness.

Whatever step it is, it includes a) Make sure each one’s strength completely overlaps with the others in a way that may well make them unplayable together.
