You mean like how Mercedes and BMW are now putting AMG and M on lesser models?

Well said, I like the new mid-tier spec luxury sports cars. I want a soft, comfy luxo-barge that also can go fast on the highway. If I want a fun sports car drive, I’ll get in my 4C. I’m interested in this new CT5-V. Although I would love to see it as a wagon (I was sad when Merc said that Canada wouldn’t get the E53…
Take your reasonable opinion and get out. Of course youre right. People have become so jaded by HP numbers that these seem soft and slow. In the real world the 320hp CT4 will be plenty of real world fast. And most likely very fun to drive.
When BMW and Merc went AWD on the M5 and E63, everyone knew part of it was because rich old guys were intimidated or spinning into things. Their PR department was just better at not saying the word. Cadillac’s PR was bad, this decision was the right one.
They already have a full range of weaker models. Cadillac needs to fill out the bench.
The cars were very good, yet no one bought them. They were expensive. This is no different than BMW lowering the M-power products, AMG doing the same, and Audi continuing their S cars... they’re branding the mid-tier car (between the true V and the base CT4) with the performance badge and some parts.
When I bought my Z06 the salesman had a story about a guy who test drove it half a week ago (I slept on the decision for like, 2.5 weeks before pulling the trigger) who went out and came back and said it was too much for him.
Oh great. Now we get to hear from all of the people who wouldn’t have considered buying these cars even if they had a 999 HP V10 and an 8 speed manual gearbox.
You're too deep in semantics. Mercedes diluted AMG, now Cadillac is diluting V.
Mercedes and BMW are doing literally the exact same thing with AMG and M. This is a smart move by Cadillac to get people interested in the models below the V.
So maybe call it MW Reboot, MW Strikes Again, MW Returns, I dunno.
I noticed the white helmets too, I hope they gave them a nice donation to use their likeness in game otherwise that is pretty gross.
Yes, this game is very fun.
If you can’t see the difference between a Mustang and a luxury sport sedan, then I don’t know what to tell you.
Meanwhile, in the real world, I can buy a Canyon Denali and bolt Chuck Mallett’s TVS1900 package on to it for 10k all in. The wheels, brakes, and suspension are maybe another 6k.

The trans is the 8L45 which shares much of the internal components with the 8L90 in the full size trucks and is still rated to tow 7900lbs. It can definitely withstand 455hp, especially unloaded.
Full time 4x4 is about as close as you can get to awd while still having a 2 speed transfer case. There really isn’t any difference; both are open center diferentials. The “auto” mode on the current GMC is full time 4x4 and will still help you lay down that power. Not to mention the optional rear locker that any sane…
The conversion is $39,995, and that’s on top of the truck itself.
And zero minutes of acceptance testing for the stupid name “Taycan.”
