That’s a more aggressive setup than most supercars... fun fact - you don’t need that much tire if the rest of the car is properly set up and not over 4,000 lbs.

It also has almost 2000 more lbs to haul around.

They come with an L77, which is a head, cam, and lifter swap away from an LS3. The engine definitely doesn't need to come out of the car, and those are parts you'd be replacing to make 1000hp anyways.

GM: “Thanks for not buying it when we offered it, twice. Dicks.

This doesn't come with an LS3, so this is an engine swap on top of power adds. I would think it makes more sense to start with the SS, as it's not like those are much more conspicuous unless you just happen to have an LS3 or caprice lying around already.

Even if GM made it no one was going to buy it since it would either be shitty on the inside but affordable or have a competitive interior/exterior and then it will be priced above what people think it’s worth.

Samer got emotional and embarrassed himself in this exchange and I can’t see it any other way.

Really. I can’t stand Stephens either, but he definitely came off as the adult in the room here, an adult patiently but gently swatting away spam-children.... This exchange was so embarrassing for Samer, or at least, I felt embarrassed for him because he doesn’t seem to have the sense to do it himself.

As I made clear, I’m not defending Stephenson’s opinions. He’s garbage.

Yeah, basically, the conversation was “You’re a doodoo head!” and then Stephens responded with “You shouldn’t call people doo doo heads!” and then “Here are a compelling facts that prove you are a doo doo head!

So Stephens took the high road and you wrote a bunch of emails that look like they could have been written by an angry 12 year-old, and you actually think that by writing this and copying those emails and publishing them, we’re going to take your side?

That last email is the one you should have sent first, and it’s a shame you had to let Bret Fucking Stephens hand you your ass before you realized that.

And somehow they managed to leave out some political bashing. I am not sure what to think now because they didnt mention on how politics drove the decisions.

This is Jalopnik. Business bad. Unions good. Real communism hasn’t be tried yet.

Poverty wage in Detroit: $5.84/hr

+1 bad interior comment

Because it’s GM doing it.

So we bash GM for not trimming the fat then we bash GM for trimming the fat.

1st and 2nd gear are a bit at odds with each other today. PSA cuts 3700 hundred jobs and gets praised for screwing over unions to generate profits for a failing former GM brand. GM tries to do something similar to save its own current brands and everyone’s like, “Hey, GM’s trying to screw over the unions! Grrrr!”

I’m not an expert, so can someone explain to me why GM trying to close unprofitable plants is a bad thing? I understand that it is bad for the workers, but if the plant isn’t making the company money, it seems like a really bad business decision to keep it open. It seems like GM sees another recession coming, and
