This is a serious problem. Unless I’m in a committed long term relationship, I’m not taking a guy’s word for it.

It’s probably company policy - it reduces their liability. If something happens to the person between the building and the hospital it isn’t their fault.

Also, if you cut it in half you can set it cut-side-down on the plate, this avoiding this problem entirely.

Everybody should go watch Healthcare Triage on YouTube for actual research-based information and advice. Dr. Aaron Carroll’s videos are interesting and have a very down to earth perspective that is refreshing. I can’t recommend him enough. His columns in the NYT are worthwhile as well.

But why? How much laundry are drug dealers doing? And why can’t they use the cash from their drug deals to buy detergent? Or what are they using the detergent to buy? and if so, what are those people using the detergent for? I mean, we all have to do laundry, but not that much. I’m confused.

Serious question - why are detergents ‘high-theft’ items that retain value on the black market? They aren’t difficult to purchase.
