That chapter in The Pale King about the guy who is talking about how he used to speed all the time and was a fuck up basically at college until he accidentally walked into the wrong classroom and is inspired by what the prof is saying is so good.

Yeah the Parnell one is great. I'm partial though, I love that guy.
I was just going to ask if it was going to be online because I don't have local co-op friends and was excited to see it is, but you're right without chat that seems like it would be annoying as hell to coordinate.
I'm in the suburbs of Cincy and we have Culver's, Steak N Shake, Five Guys, but I wish we had Whataburger and In N Out.
ALLSTON RULES! GO WOLF SPIDERS!!
That's what I'm expecting. Although I wouldn't be mad if I love it just as much.
Totally agree. Well put on the "Do You Realize??" comparison. That record is really great. I'm planning on checking out his first LP this week. I didn't pay much attention to him until I saw his Letterman performance of "Bored in the USA" and that got my attention.
I forgot about him being in that. I'm in Ohio and Red Green used to be on PBS all the time. My dad always watched it when I was growing up.
It's okay. Mother told me to forgive you.
I think the last thing Emilio did was a movie about harness racing. It was news where I live because he was filming at the local tracks and my grandpa owned and raced harness horses for years at these tracks so he told me about it. Strangely thought I just checked IMDB and it still says In Development. Dunno.
I've always found that pretty crazy too. The Farrelly brothers obviously had enough connections and good will towards them to get this movie done but I know some people like Clooney flat out said 'no way' and Richard Gere tried desperately to get out of it.
Really?! Damn, RBF and LTJ were my two favorite bands of that whole scene back when I was a kid.
Where is Reel Big Fish?!?!
I would love to see that book adapted.
"Magic Carpet Ride" Led Zeppelin
Right there with ya. I remember seeing Beck in '06 at Bonnaroo and he played a verse from Creep because Radiohead was playing after him and he made a joke about how he'd play the song because we weren't going to hear it from them. Then he preceded to leave the stage and just played a recording of Loser over the PA…
I keep putting off doing a marathon of Spike Lee movies. I want to watch them but I hear such wildly varying opinions on his work I'm scared to watch anything besides Do the Right Thing.

The Gaither Vocal Band was an unfortunate entertainment my grandfather inflicted on me
I'm not familiar with Kevin Durand but I've seen and read most everything I could find about the WM3 back in the day and I would love to see someone attempting to portray John Mark Byers. Unfortunately, doesn't sound like it's worth it after reading this.
