I just measured the one we have, it’s 4.5MM for the outter frame like in the picture COMTNDRVR posted, and the mount pushes it out another 1.5mm, for a total of 6MM.

They have thinner, just not on the consumer side....

I don’t think there are reuseable pods, and im not sure I would want one with how the machine works. The pods are small (roughly 1.25" x 1.25") and are under highly pressurized boiling water. I wouldn’t want anything but the factory made and tested pods in my machine.

Here is some info on how to recycle the pods. There are 3 options shown, but another option is to just pop the foil off the aluminum pod, dump the coffee in your garder/planter/composter and recycle the pods through your local recycling company. The pods are made of just 2 materials, Aluminum and Coffee grounds.
