Being as this is the place I spend the most time on here, I figure this is the best place to write this.

Perhaps his becoming a concept would be more acceptable to you.

The sequence involving Kerry, Clark, and Farouk was nothing less than an approximation of a comic book, right down to Farouk’s stating that it was the time between time, much like the way comic book panels stretch and manipulate time to create the illusion of motion/time passing/action.

Damn, I missed this show.

Let’s get this out of the way regarding the question asked in the header:

I’m sure you do though, and you’d be only too happy to tell us if you weren’t so busy going around pulling open the curtains on all that “whitewashing”.

Wow you do have an obsessive focus with this. I haven’t seen “whitewashed” used so much since The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

You did notice that books with the Vertigo imprint have been continuously published for nearly thirty years, right? What particular axe are you grinding here? An unnecessarily strident one that makes you seem like you’ve got one over on everybody else?

Warren Ellis has a nice little piece on the end of the Vertigo line up on his site:

Yours and mine, apparently.

This is kind of a bummer, a lot of my 90s to early aughts comic reading consisted of Vertigo offerings, and I can’t think of a more innovative imprint put out by a mainstream comic publisher in that timeframe (although DC’s Paradox Press was probably another).

That sequence of words sentence was repetitively redundant.

Yes, eat all of our shorts!

The text in that last screenshot begs to be repurposed in other, unrelated screenshots from different shows.

It’s all Unix-like in the end. I just think it’s so cool that Microsoft is leaning so hard into the open-source world. If present-day me had told me years ago me that Windows would ship with a full-blown Linux kernel that Microsoft was actually contributing to, I would tell me to shut my gob.

Well, if we’re being pedantic (and since we’re discussing personal computers, of course we are), MacOS is really Unix with fancy wallpaper as its kernel is descended from the same one that the BSDs run.

“A drunken night out rendered in all its horny anti-spendor”

A wretched hive of scum and villainy, perhaps?
